BlueDot Founder: ‘Trump needs to show empathy and set expectations’ about Florence
by Maureen Couch
Lars Anderson, BlueDot Founder, was a guest on MSNBC with Hallie Jackson in the days following the devastation of Hurricane Florence. President Donald Trump arrived via Air Force One at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havelock, North Carolina to visit the communities recently impacted by Florence. Based on history, Anderson pleaded for the president to show empathy for the survivors of the storm, something he hasn’t given much of – reflecting on less-than-appropriate actions like the throwing of paper towels to survivors in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
